COURT DOCUMENTS: A woman accused of killing her newborn in 1993 was arraigned on a grand jury indictment. Denise Merker was charged with murder in the second degree. According to court records, when Merker was being arrested, she said, "How much time am I spending in jail? ... I cannot believe this is happening to me...
