Where the term Pikey comes from: I was speaking to a traveller last night and I asked him where the term comes from. He said it started in London. When fishing you can use any bait for Pike fish. They will go for absolutely anything. They aren’t fussy. So the term is used for them as an insult, meaning that they are savages that will just go for anything. He was a proper sound fella. Looked like Tyson Fury. I’ve always found them to be really nice people. Just don’t get on the wrong side of them
