Condor C0 was brought to Oakland Zoo for more in-depth scans and examination. Our ace vet Dr. Lauren and team did a physical exam upon arrival, followed by radiographs and a CT scan. A German Condor flight (Boeing 757-330, D-ABOK) en route from Corfu to Düsseldorf made a dramatic emergency landing in Brindisi, southern Italy, after its right engine caught fire shortly after take-off. Witnesses reported a loud bang and visible flames shooting from the engine exhaust. The incident is believed to have been caused by a bird strike.
