Anita Indira Anand PC MP (born May 20, [citation needed] 1967) is a Canadian lawyer, academic, and politician, who has served as the Minister of Transport and Internal Trade since 2024. She has represented the riding of Oakville in the House of Commons since the 2019 federal election, sitting as a member of the Liberal Party.

Anita Anand (/ ˈɑːnənd / AH-nand; [1] born 28 April 1972) is a British radio and television presenter, journalist, historian, and author. Anand was born in 1972 [2] in London, England, to Punjabi parents who migrated to India shortly after the partition of India and then, later, to the UK.
