Apr 27, 2022 · Why is Jaren Jackson Jr a bad rebounder? He’s listed at 6”11 and averages 5 for his career and only 5.8 for this season. I get he’s on the perimeter on offence a lot but there’s no excuse he can be averaging 2.3 blocks this year (meaning he is in the paint often on defence) and only 6 rebounds per game.

It seems like he is debunking the theory that Grizzlies statistician favored Jaren Jackson Jr. stats. It’ll be interesting to see (to me) if the NBA will put out any other statement regarding the situation, especially when considering the aftermath of the situation, as this is the only official response the NBA has put out so far to my knowledge.

Sep 8, 2023 · Anchoring a good team defense is a totally different individual talent. Jaren Jackson Jr can't even do that with the Grizz because he's always in foul trouble. Good rim protector. Great rim protector, even. But he's got a long way to go to get to a Draymond Green level as a team defender. Even Brook Lopez is significantly better.

But Jarens recent years have left me feeling a little disappointed in his growth. I remember right before Jaren got hurt in the bubble he was putting up 30 bombs on the regular.

I was wondering about others thoughts on Jaren Jackson Jr who has just been stellar this year.He's blocking 3.3 shots per game on 23 mintues played, and is shooting 52-47-81 on .675 TS% and he's been even better in conference play with a .759 TS%.
