Asian shares were mostly higher in muted trading Wednesday, after discouraging signs about the U.S. economy sent Wall Street shares declining, and Investors are sifting through a slew of corporate earnings reports to assess how businesses may have been affected by U.

Asian shares slipped along with Wall Street on Wednesday, after weak U.S. data highlighted the damage tariffs were having on economic activity and earnings, while the dollar struggled with the drag from lower bond yields.

O'Reilly Automotive and Genius Sports are two high-flying stocks that bucked the trend when the overall market tumbled recently. Wall Street analysts expect further gains from O'Reilly Automotive in the year ahead.

Don’t think the stock market is out of the woods just because Wall Street’s exuberance has cooled considerably.
