For the third time during Franklin’s time in State College, two Penn State players have gone in Round 1: Carter and Warren in 2025, offensive tackle Olu Fashanu (New York Jets) and edge rusher Chop Robinson (Miami) in 2024 and edge rushers Micah Parsons (Dallas) and Odafe Oweh (Baltimore) in 2021.

A second Nittany Lion has gone off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft. Tyler Warren was selected No. 14 overall by the Indianapolis Colts. He joins Abdul Carter as Penn Staters to go in the first round of this year’s draft, after Carter went No. 3 overall to the New York Giants.

Penn State tight end Tyler Warren was selected 14th overall by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2025 NFL Draft. Warren burst onto the scene last season and established himself as one of the best tight ends in Penn State history.
