After severe weather and heavy rain on Thursday, more storms are headed for Iowa on Friday afternoon prompting a tornado watch and flood watch.

A tornado watch has been issued for parts of central and eastern Nebraska, including the Omaha area, until 10 p.m. Thursday.

(KMAland) -- A tornado watch has been issued for portions of western Iowa and eastern Nebraska until 10 p.m. Thursday.

Severe weather Tuesday afternoon prompted warnings and watches into the night. More than 1,000 Met-Ed customers and more than 20,000 PECO customers were without power just after 6:30 p.m.
