Sidney Crosby recorded his 14th career hat trick, and Blaze Lizotte scored the go-ahead goal with 1:43 remaining in the third period, lifting the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins to a 5-3 victory over the Dallas Stars on Saturday.
Crosby signed a two-year, $17.4 million contract extension with the Penguins last September, which includes a full no-movement clause, giving him full control over his future. Following Saturday's four-point performance in Dallas, the Pens captain has 30 goals and 56 assists for 86 total points in 75 games this season.
