Next hearing is schedule for June 26 SAN ANTONIO – Prosecutors have until next week to file charges against a Rhodes Middle School student accused of plotting an attack on the campus.

The state has one week to formally charge a 13-year-old San Antonio boy accused of planning a mass shooting at Rhodes Middle School — or release him, a judge said Wednesday.

Rhodes Middle is ranked #1495-1993 in Texas Middle Schools. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare their students for high school.

During the 2024-2025 school year, Rhodes Elementary had 740 pre-K through fifth graders, with 626 or 87.2% of those students qualifying for free or reduced lunch.
