It’s only fitting that with Def Leppard performing later Saturday night down the street, the Flyers said “Let’s Get Rocked” on Day 2 of the NHL draft. They got big. They got physical. They got mean. And they got some talent.

Then came the No. 48 selection and the Flyers continued the trend by taking Shane Vansaghi, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound right wing. And to complete the quartet, they chose 6-foot-4, 193-pound center Matthew Gard with the No. 57 pick they acquired from the Kraken.

The 2025 NHL draft that took far too long has mercifully finished. Suffice to say, any of the 26 teams who voted for decentralization, you get a Z for that. Not an F, a Z. Let's never do that again. Back to centralization, please.
