The old BMW M2 CS could deal with the sprint in 3.9 seconds, aided by the 444 horsepower (450 ps/331 kW) produced by its motor.
First photos of BMW’s new M2 CS surfaced ahead of the full debut next week. The 3.0-liter six-cylinder makes around 525 hp, up from the standard M2’s 453 hp.
Compared to a regular M2, the CS will sit 0.31 inch closer to the ground. It's safe to assume that the spring rates will have changed, and the adaptive M shocks will have been retuned to match.
BMW says the M2 CS, thanks to its increased power and lower weight, will be able to hit 60 mph from a dead stop in just 3.7 seconds, which is pretty damn impressive for a rear-wheel drive car.
If these estimates are accurate, the M2 CS will have more power than the AWD BMW M4 Competition (523 hp), and unfortunately, that means no manual transmission for the G87 CS.

The CS' interior is as nicely appointed as any other M2 model. BMW With all that sorted out so that you can just concentrate on the driving, the M2 CS is a huge amount of fun.

The M2 CS will run happy rings around Mercedes’ strongest CLA-Class coupe, or an Audi RS3, but it’s still a splurge. With the DCT gearbox and fancy brakes, the M2 CS reaches $95,995.
Besides, the M2 CS is a one-year, limited-run deal and I'm sure the vast majority of the US allotment is already spoken for. The CS is great, but like I said earlier, the M2 Comp is my favorite BMW.
BMW said with the dual-clutch transmission, the M2 CS will sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds while that drops to 4.0 seconds with the manual. Top speed should be about 174 mph.
