Gavin Williams of the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday was two outs from throwing the first no-hitter of the 2025 Major League Baseball season, but New York Mets slugger Juan Soto was not in a cooperative mood.

Juan Soto broke up the no-hitter with one out in the ninth when he rocketed Williams’ 1-and-0 fastball 420 feet to straightaway center and just over the outstretched glove of Angel Martinez, climbing the wall in an attempt to make the desperation grab.
