PHILADELPHIA - A day after officially being acquired in a trade from the Houston Texans, fourth-year receiver John Metchie was thrown into the deep end of the pool in his first practice with the Eagles.

After spending the first three years of his career with the Houston Texans, wide receiver John Metchie III is reportedly on the move.

Metchie, who's entering the final year of his rookie contract, was shipped off to Philadelphia for a 2026 fifth-round pick and tight end Harrison Bryant. The Eagles are regained their 2026 sixth-round pick from the C.J. Gardner-Johnson trade from March.
