Cleveland, who dropped two games of the three-game series against the Blue Jays, will kick off a series against the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez has changed his mind. Before Friday night’s game against the Cardinals, Ramirez told cleveland.com that Toronto right-hander Kevin Gausman hit him intentionally with a 95-mph fastball in the fourth inning Thursday at Progressive Field.

The Guardians recorded only two hits in a shutout loss to the Blue Jays. To make matters worse for Cleveland, Jose Ramirez exited the game.
