Microsoft said on Wednesday its Digital Crimes Unit (DCU) filed a legal action against Lumma Stealer last week, after it found nearly 400,000 Windows computers globally infected by the information-stealing malware in the past two months.

Lumma malware, a MaaS platform active since 2022, has stolen data from 1.7M+ devices, targeting cryptos, logins, and financial information on Windows systems.

Microsoft has taken legal and technical action to disrupt Lumma Stealer, a notorious malware responsible for information theft.
