Freshman Joona Vaisanen found the back of the net twice during the No. 3-ranked Broncos' 5-4 win over No. 20 Omaha. The first goal, which came in the second period, broke a 26-game scoreless streak. The second goal called the game just over a minute into overtime.

Michigan's Ethan Edwards scored in overtime for a 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Friday in Minnesota.

Michigan hockey was able to upset No. 4 ranked Minnesota 3-2 in overtime. After being down by one goal for most of the second period, the Michigan offense exploded in the final minutes to take a 2-1 lead.

Minnesota’s Jimmy Clark scored an even-strength goal on an assist by Aaron Huglen to knot the game 2-2 with 10:22 left in regulation. But 3 minutes into the extra frame, the Gophers’ Ryan Chesley was sent to the penalty box for hooking, and Edwards ended the game 24 seconds later.

Six different goal scorers propelled the Spartans to their first consecutive wins in the Duel in the D since 2016.
