Disney reopens Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon reopened on a sunny day Jan. 2, 2022, during the 50th anniversary celebration of Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Typhoon Lagoon was also closed on August 5 due to the hurricane. It is unknown if the park will welcome new guests again today, or if capacity has been reached for the rest of the day.

Private surf lessons will also return to Typhoon Lagoon, home to the largest wave pool in North America. When it reopens, it will be bringing back a popular ticketed event, H20 Glow After Hours.
