The Lucky Duck Foundation, San Diego Rescue Mission and the City of Vista are partnering to add more shelter beds and services for the homeless in Vista and East County.

There's a new effort to expand homeless service capacity in North and East County San Diego. A local foundation is offering $10,000 for each shelter bed created before July 2026.

The Lucky Duck Foundation will provide startup funding of up to $1.5 million to expand shelter beds in Vista and East County.
