Arrow McLaren's Pato O'Ward sympathized with Josef Newgarden for his terrible luck during last week's Race 2 at the Iowa Speedway.

Palou had a solid Iowa, with a fifth-place finish in the first race and then a victory (his seventh of the year) in the second race. The Chip Ganassi Racing driver would need an unprecedented collapse to lose the title.

Pato O'Ward has chased the tail of Josef Newgarden's car plenty in his IndyCar career. So his win at Iowa was all the more sweet in Race 1 Saturday.
