There are four strong No. 1 pick candidates -- Peterson, Dybantsa, Boozer and Ament -- although most NBA teams think it would be difficult, but not impossible, to usurp Peterson and Dybantsa as the top two players, barring a major surprise.

Cameron Boozer continues to separate himself with his combination of skill, feel and maturity that rarely show up in a player his age. At 6'9" and 235 pounds, he brings a pro-ready frame and a polished inside-out game built on efficient scoring, advanced footwork and high-IQ decision-making.

Many outlets even have Peterson either vying for the No. 1 overall selection or being the outright first pick in 2026. The only knock on the 2025 Naismith Prep Player of the Year is that he’s slightly undersized, but that’s the only trait that removes him from being an obvious top overall selection.
