After three months of legal battles and lobbying, the Voice of America network is officially being reduced to a fraction of its pre-Trump form.

The Trump administration sent layoff notices on Friday to more than 600 employees at Voice of America. VOA federally funded news organization that provides independent reporting to countries with limited press freedom.

The parent agency of Voice of America said on Friday it had issued termination notices to over 639 more staff, completing an 85% decrease in personnel since March and effectively spelling the end of a broadcasting network founded to counter Nazi propaganda.
