Us Weekly confirmed on Thursday, July 24, that Hogan died at age 71. Hogan suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida, according to the Clearwater Police Department, and he was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Hogan, who revolutionized the world of wrestling and attracted interest in the sport that was ultimately dubbed "Hulkamania" in the 1980s, appeared at the Republican National Convention in July 2024 to endorse then-presidental candidate Donald Trump .
