Kansas men's basketball coach Bill Self was released from the hospital Saturday after undergoing a procedure to have two stents inserted, the school announced. Self initially went to Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Thursday after feeling unwell and experiencing "concerning symptoms.

After a heart procedure earlier this week, Kansas basketball head coach Bill Self has been released from the hospital.

Self missed KU's postseason run in 2023 because he was hospitalized on March 8 after experiencing chest tightness. During that time, he also had two stents inserted. The Jayhawks lost to Arkansas in the first round of the NCAA Tournament that year.
