A Hyde Park man was killed early Wednesday morning by a CSX freight train after allegedly fleeing a police officer, Metropolitan Transportation Authority police said Saturday.

Train operators reported that 30-year-old Cody Alexander Sabel fled after police tried to stop him from stealing a car.
