An 11-year-old girl died of suicide after she reportedly was bullied by classmates at her school who threatened to have her parents deported, leaving her alone in the U.S. The Gainesville Police Department on Thursday confirmed it is investigating the death of Jocelynn Rojo Carranza and bullying allegations.
The 11-year-old died by suicide on February 8 - five days after her mother found her unresponsive at their home in Gainesville, Texas, according to an online obituary. Her mother says Jocelynn was bullied by other students who claimed her family was in the US illegally.
