President Donald Trump used his address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday to unveil a new member of the U.S. Secret Service -- a 13-year-old brain cancer survivor named DJ.

Trump announced on January 22 that he had appointed Curran as the director of the Secret Service. Curran previously led Trump's personal security detail during the 2024 campaign and was pictured next to the Republican as he raised one arm in the air in the aftermath of the Butler shooting.
