It is now time to implement the Gaza ceasefire and hostage deal without any delay, an EU official said on Friday.
Israel’s security cabinet has now approved the ceasefire deal with Hamas which will be brought to a vote in the government. The full 33-member cabinet is widely expected to give its approval which means the ceasefire can go into effect on Sunday as planned.
The Gaza war will be the first item on the agenda during a long-awaited and contentious meeting between Israel and the EU at the end of February, RTÉ News understands.
"It is now time to deliver this agreement for all hostages and their families, the people of Gaza, and the people of the region," said the E.U. foreign policy chief.
