A Hennepin County grand jury on Thursday indicted Vance Boelter on first-degree premeditated murder and other charges in the shootings of Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, the county’s top prosecutor announced Thursday.

Boelter now faces life in prison without parole on state charges alongside a possible death sentence for federal charges stemming from his alleged attacks on state politicians in July.
