Firefighter Mark Keller, who started with the East Valley agency in 1990, was found deceased during a May 6 shift, according to the city. A cause of death was not disclosed by the city.

According to the department, Keller began his career with Mesa Fire and Rescue in 1990. Keller’s death hit home for Mayor Mark Freeman, a firefighter who worked with him.

The Kenmore Mercy Foundation board of trustees recently elected Mark Keller as the new president. Keller is vice president of operations at Keller Technology Corporation, and joined the board in 2011.
