First photos of BMW’s new M2 CS surfaced ahead of the full debut next week. The 3.0-liter six-cylinder makes around 525 hp, up from the standard M2’s 453 hp.
The old BMW M2 CS could deal with the sprint in 3.9 seconds, aided by the 444 horsepower (450 ps/331 kW) produced by its motor.
BMW says the M2 CS, thanks to its increased power and lower weight, will be able to hit 60 mph from a dead stop in just 3.7 seconds, which is pretty damn impressive for a rear-wheel drive car.
If these estimates are accurate, the M2 CS will have more power than the AWD BMW M4 Competition (523 hp), and unfortunately, that means no manual transmission for the G87 CS.
Compared to a regular M2, the CS will sit 0.31 inch closer to the ground. It's safe to assume that the spring rates will have changed, and the adaptive M shocks will have been retuned to match.

This is not the first time an M2 is a safety car in MotoGP, since BMW used the regular, non-CS version during the 2016 season. Since 1999, the MotoGP fleet has included several BMW M models.
