Since the first American ascended to the papacy, numerous celebrities and world leaders have made the pilgrimage to Rome to meet with him. This week, it was Jesus himself (well, TV’s current Jesus, anyway).

Roumie was joined by fellow “The Chosen” cast members Elizabeth Tabish (Mary Magdalene), George Xanthis (John the Apostle) and Vanessa Benavente (Mother Mary) as well as the biblical drama’s creator Dallas Jenkins.

The Chosen star Jonathan Roumie has officially met the American Pope, as the actor best known for playing Jesus in the biblical series traveled to the Vatican to cross paths with Pope Leo XIV.
