The Mariners' bats cooled off on Tuesday night, but they were still able to beat the Baltimore Orioles 1-0 at Camden Yards.

George Kirby erased the taste of some previous tough outings against the Orioles by dominating for seven innings as the M's eked out a 1-0 win.

With a 1-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday, the Mariners won their eighth straight game and tied the Houston Astros, who were blown out 14-1 by the Boston Red Sox, for first place in the AL West. Both teams now sit at 67-53.
