The Israeli military prosecutor's office is investigating whether war crimes may have been committed in connection with shots fired at Palestinians near aid centres in the Gaza Strip, Israeli media reported on Friday.

Three children and their parents were killed in an Israeli strike on a tent camp in Muwasi near the southern city of Khan Younis. They were struck while sleeping, relatives said.

The strikes come as President Trump on Friday said there could be a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas within the next week.

Hospital staff and witnesses said at least 11 people were killed after a strike near tents housing displaced people on Friday.
