As it turns out, artists do not get paid for the Super Bowl Halftime Show—at least not by the NFL. The NFL does, however, cover all the production costs of the Super Bowl Halftime Show, so artists won't be in the red if they perform.

Survey Reveals Eminem and Beyoncé as Most Wanted Guests for Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Set
As anticipation builds for Super Bowl LIX’s halftime show, a VegasInsider.com survey of over 3,000 NFL fans has revealed their top choices for Kendrick Lamar’s performance. Eminem emerged as the most desired guest performer with 20.37% of votes, followed by Beyoncé (12.71%) and Taylor Swift (12.31%).
