It is also tied Jean Beliveau (1970-71), Brett Hull (2003-04), Joe Sakic (2006-07) and Mathieu Schneider (2006-07) for the longest point streak by a player 37 or older in NHL history.

DALLAS -- Sidney Crosby had a hat trick, and the Pittsburgh Penguins ended the Dallas Stars’ seven-game winning streak with a 5-3 victory at American Airlines Center on Saturday. Evgenii Dadonov had a hat trick and Casey DeSmith made 35 saves for Dallas (50-22-4), who are second in the Central Division.

But it wasn’t enough for the Stars to walk away with a victory, as Sidney Crosby led Pittsburgh to a 5-3 win with a hat trick of his own. The Penguins scored off two Stars turnovers in their own zone in the last 10 minutes of the game, including one with 1:43 remaining by Blake Lizotte.
