Grok’s responses must come from “independent analysis,” not Musk’s stated beliefs. xAI has offered a couple more fixes for “issues” with its Grok AI chatbot, promising it will no longer name itself “Hitler” or base its responses on searches for what xAI head Elon Musk has said.

Elon Musk said changes his xAI company made to Grok to be less politically correct had resulted in the chatbot being “too eager to please” and susceptible to being “manipulated.” That apparently led it to begin spewing out anti-Semitic and pro-Hitler comments on Musk’s X social platform Tuesday.

Elon Musk’s Grok AI chatbot has been at the centre of a controversy in recent weeks after the chatbot began spewing anti-Semitic sentiments and even praising Adolf Hitler. The company later issued a public apology,
