Functions of Connective Tissue - MSN
Connective tissue is made from cells, fibers, and a gelatinous material called ground substance. Bone, cartilage, blood, fat, and lymphatic tissue are types of connective tissues.
This allowed them to uncover unexpected new functions and gene expression programs for several cell types, such as muscle cell programs being expressed in lung connective tissue cells.
High-throughput tissue arrays allow for evaluation of in vitro cellular responses and correlation to matrix composition.
This research area explores supra-biological tissues, defined as tissues wherein the intrinsic functions of living organisms are either enhanced, diminished, or newly introduced to specialize or adapt ...
Next-gen organoids grow and function like real tissues Date: September 16, 2020 Source: Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne Summary: Bioengineers have created miniature intestines in a dish ...
Scientists at Kumamoto University have made a major breakthrough in regenerative medicine by successfully creating functional ...
This is where the new AI-based method may come in useful, since it allows unsupervised detection of cell types as well as detection of functions within an individual cell and of interactions among ...
According to its developers, Tissium features flexible, biocompatible polymers that conform to and subsequently attach to surrounding tissues to repair torn tissue after being activated using blue ...
Researchers in McGill's Department of Mechanical Engineering have discovered a safe and low-cost method of engineering living ...
A new approach captures how proteins act not in isolation but in their cellular and tissue environments. The model illuminates how surrounding cells and tissues influence protein behaviors involved in ...
