Police confirmed that the stabbing was a terror attack, adding that the assailant tried to stab a passerby before he was shot dead at the scene by a citizen with a licensed weapon.

The Magen David Adom, Israel's national ambulance service, said medical teams were providing treatment to a 30- year-old man "injured by stabbing." A passerby shot the attacker, according to Magen David Adom.
