A short detour is taking motorists along a surface street in Monticello.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office says the crash occurred on County Road 18, 3.5 miles north of Lake Lillian, around 7:17 p.m. Saturday.
They were all hospitalized, and the driver's injuries were severe enough to necessitate an airlift, police said.
