Terrance Gore, a former outfielder and three-time World Series champion known for his blazing speed on the base paths, has died at 34 years old, according to Major League Baseball officials.

Terrance Gore, who was part of World Series championship teams as a speedy bench weapon, passed away at the age of 34, the Kansas City Royals announced Saturday.

Gore died during “what was supposed to have been a simple procedure,” according to a post Saturday on social media from his wife, Britney.
