Days after being misgendered by a Republican colleague during a hearing, Rep. Sarah McBride, D-Del., said she appeared to live "rent free" in the minds of some of her colleagues and criticized the GOP for focusing on "culture war issues.

Sarah McBride is the first openly trans person elected to Congress. The senator from Delaware has been dealing with repeated instances of misgendering by Republican colleagues over the course of the past few months.
