President of the European Union, EU, Ursula von der Leyen has warned that the US and Europe would be weakend if Ukraine fails. Praising Ukrainian President, Volodymy Zelenskyy, the EU leader’ said he is “prepared to work towards a peace that honour the sacrifice of his country and his fallen compatriots”.

Trump said on Wednesday he had held a "highly productive phone call" with Putin and they had agreed to start negotiations immediately.

Prime Minister Dick Schoof wants Europe and Ukraine to be present during possible peace negotiations with Russia. He said during his weekly press conference after the Council of Ministers meeting that Ukraine and Europe are needed during the negotiations in order to avoid a bad deal.
