The clock is ticking for the Chiefs and the Royals as Kansas tries to lure the teams across state lines. The Missouri senate has now passed a bill rivaling the offer that Kansas made last year. The bill passed through the senate early Thursday morning.

The stadium funding plan now goes to the Missouri House. While Kansas has offered to pay 70% of the cost of new stadiums if the Kansas City teams move, Missouri's offer would cover about half the cost.

Missouri senators authorized hundreds of millions of dollars worth of incentives to try to persuade the Chiefs and Royals to continue playing in the state.
