The National Weather Service has issued tornado warnings for parts of Ohio as a storm system moving across most of the Midwest makes its way toward Columbus. The tornado warnings were focused on the southwestern part of the state.

High winds and large hail are expected to be the primary threats from storms forecast late Tuesday to affect an area that includes northeast Kansas.

An enhanced risk for severe weather remains in the forecast for a larger part of Alabama tonight. It will last through the overnight hours and into the day on Monday. The National Weather Service is most concerned with the threat for damaging winds,
