SAN FRANCISCO — It will go down as one of the odder offensive outbursts of the season.

Casey Schmitt, Mike Yastrzemski and Willy Adames hit home runs, Heliot Ramos collected four RBIs and the San Francisco Giants outslugged the visiting Boston Red Sox for a 9-5 victory to compete a three-game series win Sunday afternoon.

Heliot Ramos put the Giants in an early hole with a costly defensive miscue in the first inning. But the 25-year-old outfielder ultimately made up for it with his bat. Ramos went 2-for-4 with four RBIs,

The Boston Red Sox and San Francisco Giants meet in the finale of their three-game set Sunday afternoon with each team taking one game of the series so far. This matchup has received additional attention due to the Red Sox trading star slugger Rafael Devers to the Giants one week ago.

It's Tuesday, June 24 and the Red Sox (40-40) are in Anaheim to take on the Angels (38-40). Garrett Crochet is slated to take the mound for Boston against Tyler Anderson for Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Angels won game one of the series 9-5.
