Samsung has officially launched its One UI 8 beta program, and you can sign up to be among the first to test it out -- if you have a compatible device.
One UI 8 introduces a new alarm group widget and makes alarm groups much easier to handle. Check out the changes coming to Samsung phones!
The One UI 8 beta also features some major improvements to the Secure folder, including a much-needed Kill Switch. The folder will also behave more like Android’s Private Space features, meaning you can store apps in the folder without a copy being kept on the rest of your phone.
With One UI 8, Samsung has changed the default behavior for this Plus button. Now, when you have an alarm group pulled up and you tap this button, you'll get on-screen options to either create a new alarm or shift something you already created into the group you're looking at.
Android 16 QPR1 introduced a massive design language change called Material 3 Expressive. This adjustment affects the base set of assets Google makes available to developers. That affects how Quick Settings tiles are designed, lock screen elements, and so much more. In essence, that shift has altereted the entire look of Android, for the better.

Samsung has released the One UI 8 Beta update for the Galaxy S25 series, with expanded deeper integration for the Galaxy Buds. Older Galaxy Buds models (except the Galaxy Buds Live) can now access sound settings directly via the Quick Settings panel.
