Christopher McQuarrie has revealed the extent to which the eighth (and possibly final) Mission: Impossible film changed during the editing process — namely a lot.

Short of watching all of the prior films with a Paramount+ subscription, this is one of the best sequels to use as an introductory point to new fans.
