Maryland star veteran Julian Reese worked out for some NBA teams, but the Terrapin went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft. However, Reese was signed by one of the NBA's most iconic franchises to an UDFA deal on Friday.

The Los Angeles Lakers signed Maryland product Julian Reese to an undrafted free agent contract Friday, bringing the big man in for the NBA Summer League. Reese is the brother of Chicago Sky All-Star Angel Reese and is now set to join her as a professional basketball player.

The NBA draft unfolded across Wednesday and Thursday, and while several players heard their names called and saw their dreams realized, others faced a tougher path—signing on as undrafted rookies, often with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove.
