WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — When Jasson Dominguez isn’t playing for the Yankees or hitting in a batting cage or watching video of his at-bats or working on his left field play, and all of that takes up most of his time during the baseball season, he’s a 22-year-old kid who loves playing MLB The Show on PlayStation.
A big difference for Domínguez this year, he is now comfortable communicating in his second language without the help of a translator.

The 22-year-old Domínguez edged out DiMaggio as the youngest player in Yankees history with a three-homer game
Jasson Dominguez became the 16th player in MLB history to have a three-home run game while hitting a homer from each side of the plate.
The Yankees (22-16) outhit the Athletics 14-7, getting back-to-back home runs from Paul Goldschmidt (two hits) and Dominguez with two outs in the third inning to give Warren a lead that was never threatened.
As he rounded the bases, even Jasson Domínguez couldn’t believe it. The young Yankees outfielder had never even hit TWO home runs in the same Major League game before Friday night, when his eighth-inning grand slam immediately turned a career-best night into a truly historic one.
